The month of June is a month of transition where we pray for Norman and Karen as they move to St. Paul’s UMC in Staunton and as we welcome Yunho and Joungwon Eo to Laurel Hill. Also, please pray for our Annual Conference in Hampton, June 15 – 17 in Hampton, VA.

I pray God is working in you in powerful and personal ways during this season of Lent. Let’s look forward to what God is doing in our midst during the month of March in Laurel Hill’s newsletter and Calendar.
We have a special season of Sunday Evening Bible Study times together beginning March 11th at 3PM, starting at the parsonage. I invite you to come join us as we watch the film, “Is Genesis History?” We’ll take a fascinating new look at the biblical, historical, and scientific evidence for Creation and the Flood. Come join us as we study together.

This coming Sunday, July 30th, you’re invited to share in the baptismal service for Lily Walton, Henry Horne, and Tripp Walton following our 11:00 AM service. We will process from Laurel Hill to Varina on the James where each confirmand will confess their faith in Jesus Christ and enter into this new relationship with Christ in baptism.
Dying to themselves, they will rise in newness of life to serve the Lord. You are asked to come and renew your commitment of faith and pledge your faith and help to those newly baptized.
We’ll see you Sunday at Laurel Hill then drive down Varina Road to Varina on the James for our service.
Wednesday, July 19 at 7 PM, we will be gathering together in the sanctuary for a deep time of prayer. Come and let’s worship the Lord and seek His face together!

You are invited to come join us every week for worship and Sunday School at 1919 New Market Rd in Varina, VA. Our early service starts at 8:45 AM. Sunday School begins at 9:45 AM and our traditional service starts at 11:00 AM.
May 25th – We will be having a Pre-Registration Dinner for Vacation Bible School at Four Mile Creek. The dinner will begin at 5:30 AM. Print out and fill out the registration form and bring it with you as we get ready for a fun filled Bible School “Camp Out” weekend, June 23 – 25. We are looking for volunteers to help prepare food on May 25 and o help out with our preschool class. There is also still an opening for the game station.
