Dear Friends: Thank you so much for being the generous and giving people that make Laurel Hill United Methodist such a special place. Thank you to the person(s) responsible for the swing set in the backyard at the parsonage. Ava loves it. Thank you for the person who left the beautiful dress and expression of love for Ava on my office desk. Thanks to all those who have left special gifts for Karen and me, there.
Thanks to Phyllis and Jonathan Schmick and to Mary Holmes for hosting a fun night of Bingo last Friday night! Thanks to Connie Madison and Teresa Akers for representing our church in such a warm and wonderful way at Varina Day last Saturday. Thank you to those who worked in the kitchen yesterday to make our first Sunday luncheon such a great time for which to look forward. Thanks to everyone who congratulated us on our new grandson – Eli James

Remembering Mildred Dawson
Mildred Dawson, our sister in Christ, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 24th. Visitation will continue today at Nelsen’s Funeral Home on Laburnum Ave. from Noon until 8:00pm. Our service of remembrance and celebration will be Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 11:00am at Laurel Hill United Methodist, 1919 New Market Road. A luncheon will be shared with family and friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
